The Schwab Learning Center is supported by a generous endowment from The Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation.
For students with ADHD, dyslexia, executive functioning struggles, or other learning differences, the challenge often lies in how they process and retain information—not just the material itself.
Traditional tutoring focuses on teaching subject material, but at the SLC, we focus on you—your unique learning style, strengths, and challenges. Our team of learning specialists equips you with personalized learning strategies to boost comprehension, retention, and confidence, empowering you to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Working 1:1 with a learning specialist, clients can learn strategies tailored to how they learn best.
Strategies tailored to fit how you learn.
Tools to improve organization, time management, and focus.
Specialized approaches for students with dyslexia.
Techniques for minimizing distractions and boosting productivity.
Empowering students to ask for what they need and take control of their learning.
Choose the most convenient option for you:
SLC offers psychoeducational evaluations for Stanford students who are seeking a diagnosis for learning disabilities or ADHD, as well as reevaluations for updated diagnoses. The evaluation process includes a 90-minute intake meeting, two to three in-person testing sessions, and a one-hour feedback session via Zoom. Reports are typically delivered within six weeks.
Schwab Learning Center staff can conduct a workshop onsite at your school or organization. Download our menu of workshops. We can also work with you to develop a workshop on a topic of your choosing.
Adjusting to high school or preparing for college? We help you develop strategies that fit your learning style. Learn to advocate for accommodations, build a structure that works for you, and use technology to support your learning.
College is demanding, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. We provide one-on-one support to manage coursework, stay organized, and work with your learning differences. Get guidance on advocating for accommodations and using campus resources to succeed.
Learning differences impact work and daily life in different ways. We help young adults strengthen executive functioning skills, navigate neurodiversity in the workplace, and advocate for themselves with confidence.
